The Red Sox have announced that the team will freeze ticket prices for all existing seats for the upcoming 2009 season at Fenway Park. This is the first season the Red Sox have not raised their ticket prices since 1995 or 14 years. The Red Sox have sold out over 460 consecutive games at Fenway Park. As long as the Red Sox keep winning, the fans will come. If the Red Sox decide to field a team with much lower payroll, they risk a losing season and lost revenue streams from all the other ways to spend money at Fenway Park.
