It is really a shame the Boston Red Sox cannot play the Texas Rangers every night.

Despite blowing two 10 run leads in the first game versus the Rangers, the Red Sox were able to pull out a wild 19-17 win.

The Boston Red Sox went on to win the remaining two games of the series 8-4 and 10-0 as the Sox increased their record to 7-0 this year vs the Rangers.

The Red Sox will visit the Texas Rangers September 5-6-7.

Manny Ramirez is Tired of the Red Sox Front Office

Filed under: Manny Ramirez, Red Sox — Tags: , — Bobby @ 2:17 pm

Manny speaking about the Red Sox front office: “I’m tired of them - they’re tired of me.”

The Red Sox front office bean counters way back when got the deal of the century when they signed Manny Ramrez.  Manny has always come through for the Red Sox, even after being put on waivers by the know it all wonderboy bean counters in the Red Sox front office.   the front office dows not go out and produce runs or excite the fans, it is the players, the real people on the field day in and day out.  This is not the way a team should treat a superstar who produces:

The Sox spanked him publicly Friday. For the first time. Outraged he would quit on them at the start of the Yankee series, they let him dangle in the breeze for all the world to see. Convinced he was lying about his right knee, they sent him for an MRI on both knees (in case Manny suddenly tried to claim it was the left knee). Then they made sure we all knew the MRIs were clean - getting word out before the end of the game. Late Friday, the club told him he’d be suspended if he refused to play Saturday - a sanction the Players Association would have grieved and won.

Manny Returns, Sox Still Lose to Yankees

After a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to the red-hot New York Yankees on Friday night, the Boston Red Sox dropped game two of their three series hosting the Yankees at Fenway Park.

Those two losses make game three of the series, a prime time Sunday night game scheduled to be broadcasted on ESPN, even more important.

A Sox loss will enable the Yankees to tie the Red Sox in the standings.
